Tell us about your role as an Event Planner, what do you do and why is having an event planner so important?

You spend a lot of time and energy putting together your special day, as event planner my role is to ensure that all your dreams come together beautifully and exceed your expectations in the planning process as well as on the day of the event so you can sit back and enjoy.

As an Event planner, I manage and organize everything so no detail is overlooked. Planned 2 Perfection (P2P) Events keep you on track with completing tasks and timelines and we guide you step-by-step with details of what needs to be done next.

P2P Events guide clients in the right direction. We assist clients in decision making and personalizing the design of your event. (Including: table settings, floor plans, menu design, linens, lighting and other visual details to reflect your personal touch). We work closely with many vendors in the industry and know which ones are best for your needs and which are reputable.


What details tend to get missed sometimes if you don’t have an event planner?

It’s not just about the WOW factor of how a reception venue looks, it’s how smooth the event runs. Having a good plan, and sticking to it, but at the same time allowing for flexibility. It may sound contradicting, but when you work with a passionate event coordinator who understands you and what you want from your function, it can be done. We work together to ensure the detailed run schedule is executed flawlessly. With the right amount of preparation, a party with the right amount of atmosphere is created.

Briefing & liaising with the caterers, band, DJ & floor manager on the night is just as important.  If there are many speeches, it’s imperative each speaker keeps to their allocated time limit.


What is the most interesting part of your job? What has been your favourite/most memorable event to be involved with?

As an event coordinator, we are forever learning. Every event P2P Events coordinates is memorable & unique!  The best thing about the job however, is the feeling you get, seeing the smiles on clients faces. Knowing that you organized an event that exceeds their expectations.


You were recently involved with Olivia’s Bat Mitzvah at The Park, tell us about the event.

P2P Events has worked at The Park on numerous occasions. It’s a great blank canvas that works for all event types. Olivia’s Bat Mitzvah was no exception. Lighting, balloons, dessert buffets, colours & lots more were all key factors that made Olivia’s Bat Mitzvah a night to remember.
